3 WAYS TO TO KNOW WHAT YOU WANT - CUPCAKE XD - SEASON 2 - EPISODE 3

Lost in Life's Labyrinth? Find Your Exit with These Witty Tips!

Ever been in a taxi, lost in a conversation about life's grand purpose, only to realize you're about as clueless as a tourist with a crumpled map in Bangkok? Yeah, been there.

Here's the thing: most of us are wandering through life's maze without a clue. We chase shiny objects, thinking they'll bring happiness, only to end up with a cart full of fidget spinners and a heart full of "meh."

But fear not, fellow wanderers! Finding your true desires is like grabbing the right map – sure, the Swiss Alps are pretty, but they won't help you navigate the chaotic streets of Istanbul (or your future, for that matter).

Outgrown Paths? Time for a Detour!

We all start on paths paved by parents or societal expectations. But what if you crave investigative journalism instead of a doctorate in theology? Some paths we outgrow, others we never chose in the first place. So, how do we reconnect with those secret dreams our hearts whisper (but our minds shout down)?

Here are a few ideas (and please, share yours too!):

  1. Ditch the "No" Monster: We're all experts at saying "no" – especially to new or scary things. But saying "yes" can expand your world like a magical accordion. Rollerblading with your niece might seem odd, but who knows? Maybe you'll discover a hidden talent (or at least a hilarious wipeout video).

Saying "yes" to small things like trying a new recipe or reading outside your comfort zone prepares you for the big "yeses" – like a career change or a spontaneous trip to Bali (because who wouldn't?). Now, skydiving might be a hard pass, but saying "yes" to uncomfortable experiences opens doors to new possibilities.

  1. Befriend the Silence: Think of silence as a direct line to your inner wisdom. How can you hear your heart's desires if your brain is constantly on blast? We live in a world of constant noise – to-do lists, social media, reality TV (shudder).

Imagine meeting an old friend after years, only to have the conversation stall after the obligatory "how's the weather?" That awkward silence? That's what happens when we avoid being alone with ourselves. It's uncomfortable, sure, but that's where the magic happens.

Meditation is great, but it's not the only option. Maybe long walks in nature do the trick, or maybe you channel your inner Picasso with some artsy doodles. Whatever works for you. Personally, I'm a journaling fiend – three pages every morning, no sugarcoating allowed. It's a date with myself, and there's no hiding from the not-so-pretty truths.

Those "I'm unhappy, and here's why" talks are tough, but guess what? They pave the way for a happier you. So, schedule some "me time" – it's an investment in your awesome self.

  1. Daydream Like a Boss: Imagine you have a day free, with unlimited funds (because who doesn't love playing financial fantasy?). What would you do? Write a list!

What skills did you always wish you learned as a kid? What careers make your eyes sparkle? These questions are like heart-whispering excavators, unearthing your deepest desires.

Maybe you've always dreamed of being a herbalist, but a fancy certification course seems daunting. Start small! Experiment with fresh herbs in your cooking – it's a delicious way to learn and who knows, you might become a kitchen alchemist!

Spend some time pondering these questions, then daydream about what your life would look like if you chased those dreams. When your heart does a happy dance, you're on the right track. It's your path, your adventure – so grab that map (or at least a decent compass), and start exploring!
