It's Hard Being Easy
Ahh, the classic game of hard-to-get - the flirtatious dance where ladies play a tantalizing round of "catch me if you can." Some gals are natural-born teases, building those defenses higher than the Great Wall of China to weed out the weaklings. Fair play, I suppose. After all, an open door policy would result in a stampede of mouth-breathers making life a living rom-com from hell.
But then there are the extra frisky felines who take things too far. These are the cats who don't just gauge your pursuit worthiness – they want to yank your chain like a dog on a leash, seeing how much abuse you'll endure for a mere whiff of affection.
Now, a high-value chap knows better than to stick around waiting for scraps. He's the captain of his own ship, not a puppy begging for Milk-Bones. So when he sniffs out one of these game-players, he has a few tricks up his sleeve to cut the string and retain that self-respect.
First, he doesn't play her game of use and abuse. A real man doesn't bend over backwards or take out a bank loan just to gamble on a woman's romantic interest roulette wheel.
He also knows the "just friends" line is nothing more than a trap to own a little man-servant to pay her way through life. Sorry toots, but he's not looking to be your literal best friend forever fueling the friend-zone with his tears.
When she starts blowing hot and cold, playing more mind games than the cast of Inception, the true gent simply goes radio silent. A little return fire to her hot-and-cold act letting her know two can play that game. Either she'll reel it back in and decide he's worth a real try, or he's freed up his calendar again.
And if the disrespect continues - being late for dates, blowing him off, etc. - then he has zero patience for her excuses. He's not wasting one more second coddling a woman-child's bad behavior and immaturity. His time is too precious to invest in fixer-uppers when there are so many levelheaded ladies out there.
At the end of the day, the high-value man holds the power. He doesn't grovel or negotiate for a chance with any woman, no matter how bombshell she is. If her games prove she lacks the maturity and respect he deserves, he's not afraid to put that toy back on the shelf. There's no shortage of better opportunities for a true man of value.
